Job Description

As a Machine Learning Scientist/Engineer at Uber, your role will involve designing, building, and deploying machine learning, statistical, and optimization models into Uber's production systems for various applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, operations, and design to drive system development from conceptualization to production. Your responsibilities will include understanding product performance and identifying opportunities within data. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, build, and deploy machine learning, statistical, and optimization models in Uber's production systems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive system development end-to-end. - Analyze product performance and identify data-driven opportunities. **Qualifications Required:** - 3+ years of experience as a Machine Learning Scientist, Engineer, Research Scientist, or similar role. - Proficiency in production coding and deploying ML models in real-time systems. - Ability to efficiently work with large datasets using Python or other programming languages. - Proficiency in SQL and PySpark. In addition to the above qualifications, excellent communication skills in a cross-functional environment and the ability to drive multi-functional projects from conceptualization to productionization are preferred. Experience in developing complex software systems that scale to millions of users with production quality deployment, monitoring, and reliability will be an added advantage.
