About The Role

Project Role :Application Support Engineer

Project Role Description :Act as software detectives, provide a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems.
Must have skills :SUSE Linux Administration

Good to have skills :Microsoft Azure IaaS
Minimum 2 year(s) of experience is required

Educational Qualification :15 years full time education
Summary:We are looking for a Linux System Administrator with approximately 2 years of hands-on experience in managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting Linux-based environments. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Linux fundamentals, shell scripting, system monitoring, and basic networking concepts.
Roles & Responsibilities

Perform routine system administration tasks including user management, file system management, and permissions handling.

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to CPU, memory, disk usage, and network connectivity.

Apply system updates, patches, and security configurations.

Manage services such as Apache/Nginx, SSH, DNS, FTP, and cron jobs.

Write and maintain Bash scripts to automate routine tasks.

Configure and manage system logs using tools like journalctl, rsyslog, or logrotate.

Support deployment and version-control workflows (Git preferred).

Assist in backup and recovery procedures.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application deployments and system upgrades.

Ensure system security through proper hardening and vulnerability remediation.

Ensure the server is properly registered with SUMA and can successfully refresh its repositories.

Must To Have Skills:

Proficiency in SUSE Linux Administration.

Good To Have
Skills:

Experience with Microsoft Azure IaaS.

Strong understanding of system performance monitoring and optimization.

Experience with scripting languages for automation tasks.

Familiarity with incident management and ticketing systems.
Additional Information:

The candidate should have minimum 2 years of experience in SUSE Linux Administration.

This position is based at our Bengaluru office.

A 15 years full time education is required.
