Application Security Test Engineer

The role of an Application Security Developer within the Product Security team involves addressing vulnerability findings from Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and Software Composition Analysis (SCA). As an Application Security Developer, your responsibilities will include identifying vulnerabilities detected through security assessments utilizing SAST and SCA findings. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in training and empowering developers on security principles and coding practices. To qualify for this position, you must possess a B.Tech/B.E. degree in Computer Science with a minimum of 2-5 years of relevant professional experience. Furthermore, you should have software development expertise in one of the core languages such as Java, JavaScript, or .NET. Proficiency in web-related technologies including Web Apps, Web Services, and Service-Oriented Architecture is essential. Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must, along with experience working in cross-functional and geographically diversified teams. It would be advantageous if you have a good understanding of the OWASP security testing methodology and prior experience in identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities in web applications and APIs. Familiarity with security standards like CWE, NIST, and associated best practices is a plus. Experience with Harness is considered an additional asset for this role.
