L3 Application Maintenance Engineer

Australia and Africa

Key Responsibilities

• Provide

  L3 application maintenance support

  for enterprise applications built using

  Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Struts/Spring MVC, Angular

  .
• Investigate and resolve complex

  production issues

  , perform

  root cause analysis (RCA)

  , and implement permanent fixes.
• Debug Java code (Servlets, JSP, EJB), REST/SOAP APIs, and microservices issues.
• Perform minor

  Java code, Spring Boot, Angular, and database script updates

  .
• Troubleshoot

  Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL

  queries and data-related issues.
• Analyze logs and performance metrics from

  WebLogic or JBOSS

  application servers.
• Collaborate with L2 support and development teams for issue triage and resolution.
• Monitor application health, database performance, and system stability to prevent recurrence of incidents.
• Maintain documentation including knowledge base updates, RCA reports, and standard operating procedures.
• Participate in

  rotational shifts covering Australia & Africa time zones

  for 247 application maintenance support.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3.5 7 years

  of experience in L3 application maintenance or Java-based production support.
• Strong in

  Core Java, OOPS, exception handling, JDBC, J2EE

  (Servlets, JSP, EJB).
• Hands-on experience with

  Spring Boot (Mandatory), Spring MVC, Struts

  , and microservices.
• Proficient in

  REST & SOAP API troubleshooting

  .
• Working experience in at least

  one application server (Mandatory): WebLogic 12.1.0c or JBOSS

  .
• Strong SQL skills with

  Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and PostgreSQL (Mandatory)

  .
• Frontend basics:

  HTML, JavaScript, Angular

  for UI-related maintenance/debugging.
• Familiarity with

  build tools:

  Ant, Maven, Jenkins.
• Strong problem-solving, log analysis, and cross-team collaboration skills.
• Flexible to work

  rotational shifts covering Australia & Africa time zones
