Summary:We are looking for a skilled Kafka Administrator to join our team . In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, configuring, and managing Kafka clusters, ensuring high availability and performance of our data streaming platform. You will work closely with development and operations teams to design and implement Kafka solutions that meet our business needs.Scope:EMES core platform, components, interfaces, custom tools, and any customizations that support digital manufacturing systems and operations including:
Material and Inventory modulesOrder management Equipment and instrument integrationSample management Patient scheduling system integrationLabel printingGeneral automatic recipe functionalityCustom business recipe capabilitiesBatch reporting and analyticsKey Responsibilities:Install, configure, and maintain Kafka clusters in production and development environmentsMonitor Kafka performance and troubleshoot issues related to brokers, producers, and consumersImplement best practices for data ingestion, retention, and processing within the Kafka ecosystemDevelop and maintain documentation regarding configuration, processes, and proceduresOptimize Kafka cluster performance and capacity planningWork closely with application teams to understand data flow requirements and provide support for Kafka integration
Qualifications (Required):Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.5+ years of experience as a Kafka Administrator or in a similar roleStrong understanding of Kafka architecture, streaming concepts, and related technologiesExperience with Kafka management tools such as Confluent Control Center, Kafka Manager, or similarFamiliarity with cloud technologies and containerization (e.g., AWS, Docker, Kubernetes) is a plusStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environmentDesirable AttributesHands-on expertise with Python 3.x, FastAPI framework, Docker, Kubernetes.Experience in building RESTful APIs, asynchronous services, and Kafka-based event streaming platforms.Knowledge of manufacturing process automation, MES platforms, and pharmaceutical compliance.Strong leadership, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.Ability to work independently and drive initiatives in cross-functional, global teams.
