Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams to ensure that application development aligns with business objectives, overseeing project timelines, and facilitating communication among stakeholders to drive successful outcomes. You will also engage in problem-solving activities, providing guidance and support to your team while ensuring that best practices are followed throughout the development process. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the direction of application projects and ensuring that they meet the needs of the organization. Roles & Responsibilities:- Manage the SI delivery, estimation, solutioning, accountable for quality and requirement Analysis - OData Service Development:Design, develop, and deploy OData services using SAP Gateway and SAP NetWeaver technologies to expose SAP data and functionality in a standardized and secure manner.- REST API Integration:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate OData services with RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless communication and data exchange between SAP systems and external applications.- Object-Oriented ABAP Development:Utilize advanced ABAP programming techniques and OOPs concepts to build robust and scalable solutions within the SAP environment, adhering to best practices and coding standards.- Workflow Implementation:Design and implement SAP workflows using SAP Business Workflow or SAP Workflow Management to automate business processes, streamline approvals, and enhance productivity.- Performance Optimization:Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize OData services, ABAP code, and workflows for improved efficiency, responsiveness, and user experience.- Testing and Debugging:Conduct comprehensive unit testing, integration testing, and debugging of developed solutions to ensure reliability, functionality, and adherence to specifications.- Documentation and Training:Create detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, user guides, and training materials, to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure maintainability of developed solutions.- Continuous Improvement:Stay updated with the latest advancements in SAP ABAP, OData, REST API, and Workflow technologies, and proactively recommend innovative solutions to enhance system capabilities and performance. Professional & Technical Skills: - The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in SAP ABAP Development for HANA.- Proficiency in designing, implementing, and consuming ODATA services within SAP ABAP.- Experience in defining entity types, entity sets, and service operations.-Knowledge of ODATA versioning, security, and best practices.- Ability to optimize ODATA services for performance and scalability.- Understanding of ODATA service maintenance and version management.Object-Oriented Programming (OOPS):- Strong understanding and practical experience in Object-Oriented Programming concepts within ABAP.-Proficiency in designing and implementing ABAP classes, interfaces, and inheritance.- Experience in encapsulation, polymorphism, and abstraction principles.- Ability to develop reusable and modular ABAP code using OOPS.- Knowledge of design patterns and their application in ABAP development.- Practical experience in integrating SAP systems with external applications using RESTful APIs.- Ability to design and develop RESTful services within SAP ABAP.- Understanding of HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE) and status codes.- Experience in handling authentication, authorization, and data serialization/deserialization in REST APIs.- Knowledge of API versioning, documentation, and testing methodologies.Workflow:- Proficiency in SAP Workflow development using tools like SAP Business Workflow or SAP Cloud Platform Workflow.- Experience in designing and configuring workflow templates, tasks, and events.- Ability to integrate workflows with SAP business processes and applications.- Understanding of workflow triggers, conditions, and actions.- Knowledge of workflow monitoring, error handling, and logging mechanisms.- Analytical Thinking:Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions using ODATA, OOPS, ABAP, REST APIs, and Workflow technologies.- Problem-Solving Skills: Proficiency in identifying and resolving technical issues and challenges related to ODATA services, object-oriented programming, ABAP development, REST APIs, and Workflow configurations.- Attention to Detail:Meticulous approach to coding, testing, and debugging ABAP programs, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and adherence to coding standards and best practices.- Adaptability:Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements, priorities, and technologies, and willingness to learn new skills and methodologies as required.- Collaboration:Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and end-users to achieve project objectives and deliver high-quality solutions.- Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey technical concepts, solution designs, and project updates to team members, management, and stakeholders.- Time Management:Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.- Initiative:Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement, with the ability to take ownership of tasks, drive initiatives, and contribute innovative ideas to enhance processes and technologies.- Documentation:Strong documentation skills to create technical specifications, solution designs, test plans, and system documentation, ensuring comprehensive and accurate documentation of developed solutions and configurations.- Customer Focus:Customer-centric mindset with a commitment to understanding and addressing the needs and requirements of end-users, stakeholders, and business partners through effective communication and delivery of value-added solutions.
