Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Application Developer to join our Data Analytics team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Power BI, Paginated Reports, Cognos, SQL, Power Automate, ETL processes, Python and Excel VBA along with strong business analysis capabilities. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data models, dashboards, and automated workflows that support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and manage Power BI datasets, dashboards, and Paginated Reports, including deployment and scheduling within Power BI Service.
• Build and implement SSAS Tabular Models to support semantic layer development and advanced analytics.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation.
• Develop, maintain and enhance Cognos reports, supporting the migration of legacy reporting to modern BI platforms.
• Automate workflows and data refresh processes using Power Automate.
• Develop and maintain Excel VBA scripts to support automation and advanced spreadsheet functionality.
• Utilize Python for data manipulation, automation, and integration with BI tools.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect, cleanse, and load data for accurate and timely reporting.
• Perform data profiling, cleansing, and validation to ensure high data quality and integrity.
• Conduct root cause analysis and resolve data and reporting issues.
• Document data models, report logic, and business rules to promote transparency and knowledge sharing.
• Deliver ad hoc reports and perform analytical tasks to support Procurement leadership.
• Execute additional duties as assigned to support team and organizational goals.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
• Experience developing Paginated Reports using Power BI Report Builder.
• Experience with SSAS tabular model development and deployment.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and managing relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with Cognos Report Development.
• Experience with Power Automate, Python, Excel VBA for workflow automation and data engineering tasks.
• Familiarity with ETL tools, processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Strong business analysis skills with the ability to understand and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Solid grasp ofproject management methodologiesand best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Application Developer or Data Analyst role.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
• Microsoft certifications in Power BI, Azure Data Engineering, or related technologies are advantageous.
