Application Developer

Lead one or more application development projects.

Responsible for project level programming or app development activities

Role & responsibilities

• Provide leadership, guidance, and hands-on support to Develop data analysis solution for complex business problems in collaboration with biostatisticians and Statistical programmers e.g., R Shiny / Python web application
• Ensure technical validity, compliance to standards and SOPs, regulatory requirements
• Test, debug and optimize applications to ensure they work as expected, using both manual and automated testing techniques and provide documentation as per Computer System Assurance guidance
• Develop and maintain deployment and configuration instructions and ensure performance, security, and scalability of deployed applications
• Provide technical support to junior level programmers on day-to-day assigned activities
• Ensure efficient communication with Team

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor or Master of Science degree or equivalent in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Life Science, or related field.
• At least 6 years of programming experience (3+ for R, R Shiny) in analyzing and visualizing clinical trial data in the pharmaceutical industry, producing deliverables for submission.
• Advanced statistical computing software skills (e.g., SAS, R and R Shiny Framework) in a clinical data environment across multiple therapeutic areas, thorough understanding of relational databases and their correlation to submission-ready database structure (CDISC data structure requirements)
• Demonstrated programming experience and proficiency with R, R Shiny, tidyverse packages and R Markdown in building advanced R packages and modular Shiny apps (or other development stack)
• Excellent knowledge of Good Programming Practices and CDISC standards
• Ability to perform, coordinate and oversee the preparation, execution, reporting and documentation of all programming deliverables of a project, with minimal supervision.
• Strong project management skills
