Application Developer

As an Applications Development Programmer Analyst at our company, you will be responsible for participating in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. Your role will involve contributing to applications systems analysis and programming activities. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts to identify necessary system enhancements - Analyze issues, make recommendations, and implement solutions - Solve complex issues using knowledge of business processes, system processes, and industry standards - Recommend solutions and improvements based on information analysis - Conduct testing, debugging, and write basic code for design specifications - Develop working knowledge of various technical areas including client server application development, network operations, database administration, and more - Assess risk and ensure compliance with laws, rules, and regulations Qualifications: - 0-2 years of relevant experience - Experience in programming/debugging for business applications - Working knowledge of industry practices and standards - Comprehensive knowledge of a specific business area for application development - Knowledge of program languages - Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills The job description also includes additional details for a candidate with up to 5 years of experience in development of recons using Java, SQL scripting, Unix scripting, DMW, and ETL transformations. The resource should be proficient in Capital Markets and Trading flow data, Jira management, and agile practices. Knowledge of Reconciliations within Capital Markets/Financial Services industry is a plus.
