Job description 1. Role Overview: We are looking for a Structured Cabling Pre-Sales Technical Resource with strong technical expertise and excellent client engagement skills. The candidate will work closely with the sales team to design, present, and propose structured cabling solutions for enterprise and data center environments. 2. Key Responsibilities: - Understand client requirements for structured cabling (Cat6, Cat6A, Fiber, etc.). - Design and propose structured cabling solutions, including layout planning, BOM, and solution architecture. - Prepare technical documentation, SOWs, compliance sheets, and responses to RFPs/RFIs. - Support sales teams with technical presentations and site surveys. - Liaise with OEMs, vendors, and internal delivery teams for optimal solution alignment. - Participate in product and solution trainings and keep updated with latest standards and trends. 3. Required Skills and Experience: - In-depth knowledge of structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA, ISO). - Experience in preparing BOQs, layout drawings, and solution documents. - Proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio, or similar design tools. - Strong documentation and communication skills. - Client-facing experience in technical or pre-sales roles. - Understanding of data center or enterprise network infrastructure (preferred). 4. Qualifications: - B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Telecommunications, IT or related field. - 3–6 years of experience in structured cabling or ICT pre-sales. - BICSI or vendor-specific certification is a plus (e.g., Panduit, Legrand, Molex). 5. You are urgently required to fill the positions of 10 Structured Cabling Technicians/Supervisors for our Mumbai site. Your responsibilities will include setting up cable and data networks, laying underground and underfloor fiber cabling, testing systems to identify and rectify faults, designing, building, and testing fiber through equipment, and communicating with customers both in person and through telephone or online channels. You will be working at client sites or businesses, often outdoors in all weather conditions. It is essential that you are well-versed in splicing and testing, have knowledge of termination & IO points, and are familiar with CAT5, CAT6, UTP, and fiber testing. Additionally, you should be capable of fixing cable trays and raceways. The ideal candidate should have 2 to 7 years of relevant experience.
