Optimise data workflows for performance reliability and cost-efficiency. Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to support their data needs. Ensure data quality and integrity through monitoring and validation processes. Implement security best practices for data storage and transmission. Stay current on cloud technologies and best practices in data engineering.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.

Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role in a cloud environment. Proficiency in AWS cloud services such as S3 EC2 EMR. Strong programming skills in languages like Python SQL or Scala. Experience with ETL tools and frameworks (e.g. Apache Spark Airflow). Knowledge of data modelling database design principles and distributed systems. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Preferred Skills: Certification in cloud platforms or data engineering. Familiarity with containerisation technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with real-time data processing frameworks (e.g. Kafka). Knowledge of machine learning concepts for data processing.
