Ansible Developer

Job Position: Ansible Engineer/Developer (with Python Expertise) Job Type: -Contract to Hire (C2H) Company: Webologix Location: Bangalore Job Description: Experienced Ansible Engineers to assist with the migration of legacy standalone Ansible code to Ansible Enterprise. The role will also involve upgrading the Python version (Python 2.x to 3.x) used within the environment and developing new Ansible playbooks. Key Responsibilities: Migrate legacy standalone Ansible code to Ansible Enterprise, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance in an enterprise environment. Upgrade Python versions (from Python 2.x to 3.x) for existing automation scripts and playbooks. Write new, modular, and reusable Ansible playbooks for automation of various tasks and processes. Ensure the new playbooks follow best practices, are maintainable, and integrate smoothly with existing infrastructure. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Ansible, Python, and the Ansible Enterprise environment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and implement automation solutions. Document the migration process, new playbook development, and Python version changes for internal use and future reference. Required Skills & Experience: Ansible experience, particularly with Ansible Enterprise or Ansible Tower. Experience in converting standalone Ansible code to an enterprise-grade Ansible solution. Strong knowledge of Python, with hands-on experience in upgrading Python versions (specifically from Python 2.x to Python 3.x). Ability to write efficient and reusable Ansible playbooks, roles, and collections. Understanding of DevOps principles, automation best practices, and infrastructure as code (IaC). Version control (Git) experience for managing code and playbook versions. Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems and automation on those platforms. Good understanding of system and application monitoring, patching, and performance tuning in an enterprise environment. Strong communication skills, with the ability to document and explain technical decisions and processes. Nice to Have: Familiarity with Ansible AWX or Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform. Experience with other automation tools like Terraform, Chef, or Puppet. Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating Ansible into such workflows. ,
