Key Responsibilities: Production Planning & Control Prepare daily, weekly & monthly production plans based on orders and stock requirements. Allocate raw materials (HDPE, PVC resin, masterbatch, additives, fittings, etc.) as per production needs. Monitor machine loading, manpower deployment and production schedules. Track actual production vs. planned production; take corrective actions for deviations. Coordinate with the Production, Quality & Maintenance teams for smooth operations. Maintain records of production targets, downtime, and material consumption. Order & Inventory Management Review sales orders and plan production accordingly. Maintain minimum stock levels for finished goods and critical raw materials. Close coordination with stores for availability of moulds, tools, dies, packing materials. Ensure FIFO implementation and avoid overproduction or shortages. Logistics & Dispatch Coordinate with logistics team for timely dispatch of pipes, sprinkler & drip material. Plan transportation based on order priority, route & cost-effectiveness. Communicate with transporters for vehicle arrangement, loading & delivery timelines. Track dispatch status and ensure on-time delivery to customers/distributors. Reporting & Analysis Prepare MIS reports: daily production, WIP, RM/FG stock, order status, delays, etc. Analyse machine efficiency, production capacity utilisation & bottlenecks.. Suggest process improvements to reduce costs and increase productivity.
Key Responsibilities 1. Quality Assurance & Testing (Online & Offline) a) Conduct online and offline quality tests as per BIS and company standards for HDPE, PVC, Sprinkler, and Drip pipes. b) Monitor production line parameters and ensure product consistency. c) Perform regular tests such as: Density, Melt Flow Index (MFI) Hydrostatic pressure test Impact test Tensile strength Carbon black content & dispersion Dimensional checks (OD, ID, wall thickness) Visual inspection d) Maintain proper testing records , calibration logs, and QA documentation. 2. BIS Certification & Compliance a) Full knowledge of BIS standards (e.g., IS 4984, IS 4985, IS 14151, IS 12786, etc., as applicable). b) Handle documentation, renewal, and audit coordination for BIS certification. c) Ensure that production and testing comply with Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) d) guidelines and QCO (Quality Control Orders). 3. Third-Party Inspections a) Coordinate with third-party agencies such as: CIPET Other government-approved inspection bodies b) Ensure timely preparation of inspection samples, documents, and test reports. c) Attend inspections and resolve quality queries. 4. Quality Department Management a) Implement and monitor SOPs for quality assurance. b) Maintain testing lab equipment and ensure timely calibration. c) Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports for management review. d) Identify non-conformities and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA) . e) Train production operators on quality standards and defect prevention. 5. Raw Material & Finished Goods Quality a) Inspect and approve raw materials such as HDPE granules, PVC resin, additives, masterbatches, etc. b) Evaluate finished goods quality before dispatch. c) Maintain proper sampling and rejection control. Required Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of HDPE, PVC, Sprinkler, Drip pipe testing methods . Hands-on experience with lab instruments (Hydrostatic tester, MFI machine, Impact tester, Hot air oven, Vernier, Micrometer, etc.). Knowledge of BIS norms and documentation . Good understanding of ISO procedures (ISO 9001 preferred). Ability to handle quality audits and inspections. Good communication, reporting, and leadership abilities.
