Android Developers

You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-performance, quality, and responsive native Android applications. You should be able to write reusable and reliable Java code, with the option of using Kotlin, and ship new features. Your tasks will include translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code, identifying bottlenecks, fixing bugs, working with outside data sources and APIs, as well as unit testing code for robustness and improving application performance. To excel in this role, you should possess a strong knowledge of the Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screens. You must have good knowledge of Android lifecycle method usage, familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services, and a solid understanding of design principles of Android UI design, patterns, and best practices. Additionally, you should be familiar with the use of additional features like Camera, Bluetooth, and Location services, as well as the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks. Your ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements will be crucial, along with familiarity with Firebase integration and push notifications, and proficiency in code version control tools, such as Git. Knowledge of integrating and using third party libraries, a strong understanding of SQLite and Room database, and the ability to work effectively in a team are also essential for this role.
