About the Role

IT Applications Engineer V (Mobile, Android)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of Android mobile applications using

  Java/Kotlin

  .
• Design and implement new customer-facing features with a focus on usability and performance.
  
• Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable, and secure technical solutions.
  
• Drive mobile application architecture strategy and ensure alignment with best practices.
  
• Collaborate with product, UX, architects, and vendors to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  
• Implement and maintain automated testing (e.g., Espresso, JUnit) to ensure quality.
  
• Manage build schemes, flavors, and signing assets using tools like

  Gradle

  and

  Fastlane

  .
• Integrate APIs, third-party SDKs (Firebase, Maps, Analytics), and content from CMS platforms (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager).
  
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, serving as a subject matter expert for mobile engineering.
  
• Provide production support, incident triage, and post-implementation support.
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree

  in Computer Science, CIS, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 8+ years

  experience in software development.

• 5+ years

  developing and delivering mobile applications.

• 4+ years

  hands-on experience with

  Java/Kotlin

  for Android.

• 3+ years

  working with mobile app dependency management tools (Gradle, Maven).

• 3+ years

  integrating APIs and third-party libraries.

• 2+ years

  experience with automated testing using Espresso.
• Experience with CMS integration (Adobe Experience Manager or similar).
  
• Technical leadership experience on complex projects.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DevOps tools (Jenkins, SonarQube, JUnit).
  
• Test-driven development expertise.
  
• Experience with Cloud platforms (Azure, IBM WebSphere, etc.).
  
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD for mobile apps.
  
• Experience with HIPAA/PCI-compliant mobile applications.
  
• Familiarity with iOS development and cross-platform practices is a plus.
