Analytics Solution - Analyst

As a Data Analytics Analyst within the Commercial Investment Banking Global Finance and Business Management organization, you will assist with data and management reporting development for regulatory operations. You will learn core business processes, build new data mart capabilities, develop metrics and management reporting, and provide decision support through ad hoc reporting and data analytics. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact initiatives that promote profitability and efficiency across the Commercial Investment Banking organization. Define, monitor, and report key management metrics around the health of an operations program. Manage a high-volume and high-complexity reporting & dashboarding book of work, leveraging rigorous project management discipline. Partner with senior leaders in advancing the business analysis and reporting agenda, focused on insights delivery in areas around operational efficiency, cost modeling, capacity planning, quality enhancements, etc. Define, design, and drive high-priority strategic initiatives with senior-level visibility in areas above ranging from delivering business initiatives to engineering enabling capabilities. Develop a deep understanding of systems and processes in order to extract insights from existing data while identifying and recommending IT enhancements to improve data quality. Develop strong partnerships with IT application owners and data management teams to align on a roadmap for continual improvement while providing support around in-flight projects. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills: - Hands-on experience with programming languages: SQL, Python/R. - Familiarity with data visualization tools like Qlik Sense/Tableau and analytical tools such as Alteryx. - Knowledge of distributed file systems like Hadoop, Hive. Experience with Jira & MS Office is a plus. - Ability to effectively communicate insights and recommendations both verbally and in writing. - A team player with a demonstrated strong work ethic. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills: - Ability to understand business problems/processes and design solutions/methodologies rooted in data. - Proficiency in designing and executing repeatable and scalable data solutions (extraction/mining/modeling/visualization). - Graduate/Post Graduate preferably with a background in Computer/Finance/Statistics. - Minimum 3 years of experience, preferably in financial services or commercial banking.
