Role Overview: As a Network Engineer at Flex in Coimbatore, you will report to the Manager and play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing the network infrastructure. Your typical day will involve working on LAN and WAN environments, troubleshooting network issues, monitoring network performance, and collaborating with global peers to ensure seamless operations. Key Responsibilities: - Excellent exposure working with LAN and WAN environment and routing protocols like OSPF, EIGRP, BGP. - Attend to Corporate LAN Switching tasks and possess knowledge of Switching Technologies like VLAN, VTP, TRUNKING, ACCESS Security. - Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day network issues related to Layer-2 and Layer-3 connectivity. - Basic knowledge of scripting tools like Python. - Monitor and manage the network to maximize uptime and assist in creating documentation/procedures to support service operations. - Keep track of the Network & Telecom infrastructure, provide suggestions for further analysis, and escalate, track, troubleshoot issues with service providers/vendors. - Manage key monitoring systems like NMIS, SolarWinds, assist with data analytics and report creation, and perform daily health checks for implementing improvements. - Take complete ownership of support issues, follow through to closure within defined SLA, and acquire knowledge from global peers. Qualifications Required: - Minimum of 4 years of experience in the networking domain. - Excellent communication skills and good analytical skills are mandatory. - Flexibility to work in 24/7 rotational shifts. - Basic technical expertise in Routing, Switching, Security, and Traffic Optimization. - Operational knowledge on SNMP, NetFlow protocols, and different Network Monitoring Tools. - Good knowledge of ISR & ASR with IOS XE platform. - Effective communication with a high degree of escalation management. - Experience in alert monitoring, 1st level troubleshooting, and ticket handling.
