Analyst - Decision Sciences

As a Senior Analyst - Decision Sciences at HSBC, you will play a crucial role in the development, validation, and maintenance of key wholesale risk models. You will be responsible for enhancing Regulatory credit risk models, including PD, LGD, and RWA for wholesale clients, as well as Wholesale Economic response models such as Stress Testing and IFRS9. Your expertise in technical areas like statistical regression analysis and model builds will be essential, along with a deep understanding of the Wholesale business environment and its credit products. Key responsibilities include engaging with team leads, senior management, and project owners, following global model standards, and translating technical work into stakeholder-friendly presentations. You will need to have relevant analytics experience in banking domain or risk analytics, along with a master's degree in quantitative fields. Strong coding skills in Python, R, SAS, SQL, and knowledge of credit model methodologies are required. Additionally, the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, demonstrate strong business acumen, and effectively manage stakeholders is crucial for success in this role. Having certifications like FRM, CQF, or SCR would be advantageous.
