The Purpose of This Role
This role is a key part of the
People Analytics
Team
under Enterprise HR division of Fidelity Investments. As an Analyst, you will join the People Analytics team to help with workforce insights at every stage of the Talent lifecycle. The functional focus of this position is to provide actionable insights using Employee data. You are expected to employ techniques and concepts such as statistical modelling, data mining/predictive analytics, machine learning, advanced measurement, and other analytical methods to support strategic decision-making. This role involves partnering with various research and analytics competencies to offer cohesive solutions to key workforce questions.
- Requirement gathering & planning: Understand project objectives and translate them into structured, actionable analysis plans.
- Data processing: Perform complex data extraction, transformation & loading using tools such as Python, SQL and Snowflake.
- Analytical insight generation: Apply a combination of business acumen and analytical techniquesincluding data visualization, statistical testing, experimental design, and data miningto uncover insights related to employee behavior, experience, and engagement.
- Statistical modeling: Develop and apply statistical models (e.g., regression, clustering, time series) to identify key drivers of employee engagement, attrition, and workforce effectiveness.
- Project management: Communicate findings, risks, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a global (offshore-onshore) environment.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work effectively within and across teams and sub-teams, fostering a collaborative and data-driven culture.

Technical Expectations
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Snowflake for data manipulation and analysis
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau
- Strong understanding of statistical methods and machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, decision trees, random forest, boosting models)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
The Skills that are Good to Have for this role
- Understanding of key HR metrics and concepts
- Experience with experimental design and A/B testing
- Experience in Marketing Research, including survey design, segmentation analysis, and consumer behavior insights
The Expertise We're Looking For
- 1 to 3 years of experience in organizations renowned for cutting-edge, best-in-class applications in Data Analytics
- Post graduate degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a similar quantitative discipline or MBA from a premier school

The People Analytics team was established in 2012 and works on the cutting-edge techniques since then.
