Analog Design Automation, Sr Engineer

This role is focused on automating integrated circuit (IC) design flows, optimizing data management, and enhancing workflow efficiency in analog/mixed-signal (AMS) design environments. As an Analog Automation Engineer, you will collaborate with IC design teams to streamline design, simulation, and verification processes. A fundamental understanding of integrated circuits and semiconductor technology, as well as experience using analog/mixed-signal CAD tools and programming in Python/Perl, is essential for success in this role. You will be responsible for collaborating with IC design engineers to identify bottlenecks and develop automation solutions to improve productivity. This includes optimizing design simulation, verification, and collateral generation through Python/Perl scripting and automation frameworks. Additionally, you will implement data engineering pipelines to process, clean, and analyze large datasets from IC design tools, and enhance data visualization and reporting to provide insights for design teams and management. Documenting automation workflows, database structures, and best practices for team collaboration and knowledge sharing will also be part of your responsibilities. Requirements for this position include a MASc or BASc with 3+ years of analog and mixed-signal IC design experience, strong Python programming skills with experience in workflow automation, proficiency in SQL databases and data engineering concepts, excellent analytical skills with a data-driven mindset, and strong communication and time management skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
