The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in achieving production targets, implementing quality systems, improving productivity, and ensuring zero customer complaints. This role requires strong leadership, process knowledge, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives in a Tier-1 automotive component manufacturing environment. The production Manager candidate should have paint shop experience. Roles & Responsibilities: Achieve production targets as per schedule and ensure adherence to production planning. Maintain and enhance quality systems in line with IATF 16949 standards. Monitor and reduce internal rejections; ensure zero customer complaints through strict in-process monitoring as per SOPs. Plan and allocate resources (manpower, materials, equipment) in coordination with the Plant Head and HR. Conduct training programs for the workforce to enhance skills and productivity. Coordinate with Purchase and Stores to maintain adequate stock of raw materials, chemicals, and packing materials. Maintain discipline and a positive work culture in the plant. Prepare and submit MIS reports to management at defined intervals. Monitor OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and drive productivity improvements. Implement and maintain 5S workplace organization. Analyze production and quality failures to identify root causes and take corrective actions. Ensure preventive maintenance of machines, tools, fixtures, and gauges in coordination with relevant departments. Conduct Daily Work Management (DWM) to track and bridge gaps in PQCDSM metrics (Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, Morale). Apply 8D methodology to address customer and plant issues. Implement Kaizen for continuous improvement. Ensure effectiveness of installed Poka Yokes . Enforce plant safety measures for employees, equipment, and processes. Manage painting and printing processes, including degreasing, oven curing, spray painting, and screen printing. Ensure compliance with MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) requirements for chemicals. Drive cost reduction initiatives. Operate basic measuring instruments effectively. Lead, motivate, and develop the production team to achieve management-defined goals. Desired Candidate Profile: Education: BE/B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering (or equivalent). Experience: Minimum 15 years in production function, preferably in Tier-1 automotive component manufacturing. Strong knowledge of painting and assembly line processes. Working knowledge of SAP and IATF 16949 standards. Proven leadership, planning, and people management skills. Self-starter, team player, and goal-oriented.
