Purpose of the RoleThe candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of our power generation facilities.What does this role entail?Conduct routine inspections and breakdown/preventive/condition-monitoring maintenance on electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and generators.O&M of EHV lines (220/33 KV) with high voltage circuit. Troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical equipment like 33KV switchgears, transformers, control circuit, high voltage switchyard equipment like CT, PT, CVT, SF6 breaker, AC Drives (SIEMENS, ABB ACS 550 and ABB ACS 800).Troubleshooting and maintenance of Relay, RTU, BCU, etc.Testing of Power Transformer, HT Motor, SF6 Breaker, 220kv & above CT/ PT/HT & LT Breakers.Monitor electrical systems to detect and address potential problems proactively.Utilize diagnostic tools to assess system performance and implement corrective actions as needed.Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.Ensure all maintenance activities comply with industry standards and safety regulations.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and incidents.Prepare detailed reports on system status and maintenance work conducted during shifts.Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, promoting a culture of safety within the team. Key skills and competenciesHands-on experience in electrical maintenance of thermal power plant with High Voltage Electrical systems. Purpose of the RoleThe candidate will ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of all electrical systems, troubleshoot faults, and implement preventive maintenance measures. This role requires working in shifts to provide continuous support for the facilitys electrical infrastructure. It is critical to ensure the plant's operational efficiency, safety, and compliance with all relevant regulations. What does this role entail?Executive breakdown/preventive/condition-based monitoring maintenance of electrical equipment, at Substation and transmission line, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedure and safety protocol.Carry out the startup and shutdown process of plant equipment as required, following established guidelines.Promptly identify and address troubleshooting of electrical equipment at 220KV substation and transmission lines, and implement corrective measures to minimize downtime. O&M of LT & HT Motor, AC Drives (SIEMENS, ABB ACS 550 and ABB ACS 800). Testing and fault analysis of major equipment like transformers, earthing transformer, circuit breakers, motors, relay, RTU, BCU, CT/PT/HT & LT breakers, and transmission line.Oversee the activities w.r.t SCADA & AUTOMATION, Network management, LAN/OFC network establishment, concerned with the 400KV/220KV/132KV substation.Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and any incidents occurring during the shift.Maintain the meter reading data in SAP and conduct periodic analysis. Liaising with Govt officials / MIHAN officials, and other local authorities to ensure seamless operation.Key skills and competenciesProficient understanding of power generation processes, electrical systems, and maintenance practices.Well aware Exposure standard; IEC 61850,101 Protocol,104 protocol, IEC 60870-5-101,IEC 60870-5-104,RS232,RS485,Modbus protocol testing & commissioning.Exposure (O&M) in SAP, CMT, and Meter data communication.Exposure (ETC) in ABT system, smart metering, and EMS system. Good understanding of IT and OTDemonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical manuals, and equipment specifications.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to make informed decisions under pressure.Good communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a dynamic environment and lead a shift and substation.
