As a Reliability Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of our systems and products. Your responsibilities will include keeping key stakeholders informed about potential reliability concerns and their impact on customer experience. You will design, code, test, and implement automated solutions to streamline manual operations. Additionally, you will be actively involved in operations support and on-call rotations, which may include weekends and holidays, to implement long-term solutions for any identified issues. Tracking and managing reliability performance against agreed Service Level Objectives (SLOs) will be a key part of your role. You will collaborate with IT monitoring teams to ensure systems consistently meet SLOs. Sharing your expertise on reliability approaches will be essential in helping our organization achieve its reliability goals. You will also advocate for treating reliability as a feature in our products and platforms throughout the software development life cycle. Creating informative dashboards and reports to communicate key metrics to stakeholders will be part of your regular tasks. Furthermore, contributing to documentation and runbooks for applications based on operational experience and user feedback will be crucial. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 1 year of experience in designing and implementing large-scale solutions in production environments is required. A Master's degree in a relevant field and experience in the airline industry are preferred qualifications. In terms of skills, licenses, and certifications, you should have a strong understanding of observability principles and practices. Proficiency with observability tools like Splunk, DynaTrace, and Datadog is necessary. Familiarity with technologies such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, Azure, AWS, OpenTelemetry, and Agile methodologies like SCRUM is essential. You should also be well-versed in DevOps Toolchain methodologies, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.
