Role Summary

The AMC Medical Trainer / Clinical Education Trainer is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating high-quality education and training programs in line with AMC standards. This role focuses on supporting clinical supervisors, trainees, and medical educators to enhance their teaching, supervision, and assessment capabilities. The trainer plays a key role in delivering structured educational content, facilitating professional development opportunities, and ensuring alignment with AMC accreditation and training requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Training Program Design & Delivery

• Develop, plan, and deliver educational modules and workshops for medical educators, clinical supervisors, and trainees.
• Ensure training content aligns with AMC supervision, assessment, and educational standards. * (Standards aligned to supervision and accreditation) AMC
• Facilitate interactive learning sessions, webinars, and face-to-face training activities.

2. Clinical Supervision Support

• Support clinical supervisors in understanding best practice supervision models and educational activities.
• Provide guidance on feedback delivery, assessment practices, and professional development.
• Promote safe supervision strategies that comply with AMC and national frameworks. AMC

3. Curriculum and Resource Development

• Collaborate with stakeholder teams to develop resources to enhance clinical teaching and assessment skills.
• Maintain up-to-date educational materials reflecting current medical education pedagogy and AMC standards. * (AMC standards and supervisor role definitions) AMC

4. Stakeholder Engagement

• Build and maintain strong engagement with medical educators, training providers, regulatory bodies, and clinical teams.
• Act as a liaison between AMC operational teams and the medical training community.

5. Evaluation and Quality Improvement

• Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, data analysis, and performance metrics.
• Identify opportunities for continuous quality improvement in training delivery and supervisory support.

6. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare program reports, training attendance records, and improvement recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with AMC governance and documentation requirements.

Selection Criteria / Skills & Experience

Essential:

• Tertiary qualification in Medical Education, Health Professions Education, or a related healthcare field.
• Strong experience in clinical education, supervision, or medical training delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver adult-learning programs.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Desirable:

• Experience with AMC accreditation standards, medical education frameworks, or supervisory training.
• Understanding of clinical workplace-based assessment and feedback methodologies.
• Background in healthcare quality improvement or curriculum development.
