Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Drive ambulance vehicles to and from medical facilities, accident
scenes, and emergency locations as per dispatch instructions, adhering to all traffic laws and regulationsAssist paramedics and emergency medical staff with patient loading/unloading, using stretchers and lifting equipment as needed
Perform routine vehicle inspections before each shift, including mechanical checks and inventory of medical supplies
Ensure the ambulance is clean, sanitized, and fully stocked after every trip; dispose of medical waste as per healthcare protocols
Administer basic first aid or oxygen if required, until higher-level medical personnel takes over
Maintain accurate and timely transport logs, noting patient details, trip information, and incidents or accidents
Report vehicle faults, accidents, or emergency incidents promptly to management and law enforcement agencies when necessary
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, hospital personnel, patients, and relatives
