Alteryx ETL Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Alteryx ETL Developer to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building and optimizing ETL workflows using Alteryx, along with strong SQL skills. While Alteryx is our primary ETL tool, we welcome candidates with experience in other ETL platforms. Alteryx certification is a strong value addition.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Alteryx Designer

• Automate and schedule workflows via Alteryx Scheduler / Server

• Cleanse, transform, and validate data from multiple sources

• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation

• Collaborate with analytics and BI teams to deliver data for dashboards and reports

• Troubleshoot ETL workflow issues and resolve data discrepancies

• Document workflow logic, data mappings, and technical specifications

Required Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Alteryx Designer

• Strong understanding of ETL concepts and data integration best practices

• Proficiency in SQL (joins, aggregations, subqueries)

• Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)

• Familiarity with data warehousing and data modeling

Preferred Skills & Tools

• Primary ETL tool: Alteryx Designer

• Experience with other ETL platforms such as Talend, Informatica, SSIS, or Pentaho

• Alteryx certification (Core, Advanced, or Expert) is a strong value addition

• Working knowledge of Python for data manipulation or scripting

• Exposure to Alteryx Server / Gallery

• Familiarity with BI tools like Tableau or Power BI

• Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
