Role & responsibilities 1. Thoroughly review and Understanding product requirements. 2. Designing of press tools like as Blanking, Piercing, Trimming, Forming, Bending. 3. Designing of Progressive press Tools. 4. Designing of Jigs & Assembly fixture 5. Knowledge in Heat treatment process 6. Executing of Drawings and Bill of Materials of Tools/ fixture Design. 7. Engineering standards followed by selection of Raw Material for the required tools 8. Leading all activities of tool design & development from conceptual through detail phase. 9. Involvement in product component feasibility study 10. Involvement in quoting tool cost 11. Develop 3D and 2D designs for sheet metal tools & Injection Moulding Tools 12. Design optimization and debugging of existing mold. Develop design concepts for new tooling. 14. Support the Process and Manufacturing teams in implementing the new project as per timeline. 15. Prepare and maintain records in compliance with IATF, APQP and VDA 6.3 requirements. Preferred candidate profile 1. Education: Post Diploma in Tool Design or DME or BE in mechanical engineering 2. Required Work experience 3 to 5 years 3. Proficiency in AUTO CAD, CREO, SolidWorks. 4. Good understanding of DWG Stack up, and GD&T Tolerances. 5. Strong written and verbal communication skills. 6. Knowledge of Kaizen, TPM 7. Knowledge of QC tools such as 5Why analysis
