Regulatory & MRL Compliance: Monitor and interpret Indian and international regulations concerning pesticide usage, MRLs (Maximum Residue Limits), and food safety standards (Codex, EU, FSSAI, etc.). Ensure timely compliance with residue norms across major export destinations through proactive coordination with laboratories, procurement teams, millers, and exporters. Analyze pesticide residue reports and lab data to assess conformity and flag non-compliance risks. Track updates from regulatory bodies such as FSSAI, CIBRC, and EU Commission related to pesticide approvals, usage guidelines, and banned substances. Prepare technical documentation, records, and compliance reports required for export certification or government submissions. Legal & Policy Support: Assist in drafting legal representations, responses, and position papers related to pesticide regulations, MRL issues, and trade barriers. Coordinate with legal advisors, regulatory consultants, and trade bodies for addressing regulatory concerns affecting exports. Support industry-level representations to government departments (e.g., MoC, APEDA, FSSAI) and international authorities on pesticide/MRL-related policy matters. Maintain a repository of legal and regulatory documents, correspondence, and notifications.
