IT Manager Location: Germany Employment Type: Full-time Department: Information Technology / Infrastructure / Digital Operations About the Role We are looking for an experienced and proactive IT Manager to lead our IT operations, ensure infrastructure reliability, manage cybersecurity, and support the digital needs of the organization in Germany. The ideal candidate is technically strong, business-minded, and experienced in leading IT teams within German or European environments. Key Responsibilities IT Strategy & Leadership Develop and implement the company’s IT strategy aligned with business goals. Lead and mentor the IT team, including system administrators, support engineers, and network specialists. Drive digital transformation and technology upgrade initiatives. IT Operations & Infrastructure Oversee daily IT operations, ensuring high availability and performance of all systems. Manage networks, servers, cloud environments, and hardware/software assets. Ensure proper incident, problem, and change management processes. Cybersecurity & Compliance Implement cybersecurity standards, policies, and best practices. Ensure compliance with GDPR, German data protection laws, and industry-specific regulations. Manage IT audits, risk assessments, and security monitoring. Vendor & Project Management Manage IT suppliers, licensing, contracts, and budgets. Lead IT-related projects including system migrations, cloud adoption, and infrastructure upgrades. Collaborate with internal departments to understand needs and deliver IT solutions. Support & Service Delivery Oversee IT helpdesk and ensure timely resolution of technical issues. Establish service-level agreements (SLAs) and performance metrics. Provide training and guidance to employees on digital tools and security. Qualifications Must-Have Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields. 5–8+ years of experience in IT roles, including 2+ years in management. Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, or similar). Experience managing IT operations in Germany or the EU. Knowledge of GDPR and data protection standards. Excellent communication skills in English; German level B1+ (preferably B2). Nice-to-Have Certifications such as ITIL, CISSP, CISM, CCNP, Microsoft/Azure certifications. Experience in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics). Background in managing hybrid cloud/on-premise systems. Experience in fast-growing environments or multinational companies.
