Job Purpose: To oversee the day-to-day operations on the shop floor, ensuring smooth material handling, quality control, safety compliance, and timely dispatch of metal products. Key Responsibilities: Shopfloor Operations: Supervise loading/unloading, cutting, sorting, packing, and dispatch of metal materials (sheets, rods, coils, etc.). Ensure accurate weight, size, and quality checks before dispatch. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse team for stock accuracy. Team Management: Lead a team of labourers and machine operators. Allocate daily tasks, monitor productivity, and resolve on-ground issues. Conduct regular briefings and ensure discipline on the floor. Coordination: Liaise with the sales, logistics, and procurement teams for order fulfillment. Coordinate with transporters and drivers for timely dispatch. Support internal movement of materials between departments.
