The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HUD compliance requirements and experience working with clients in the affordable housing sector. Key Responsibilities: Conduct audits in accordance with US GAAP and HUD guidelines for multifamily housing entities. Review and assess financial statements, compliance reports, and supporting documentation. Ensure accurate reporting and compliance with HUD regulations, including REAC submissions and Uniform Financial Reporting Standards. Perform audits related to Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) and other affordable housing programs. Collaborate with clients to resolve audit findings and provide recommendations for improvements. Prepare audit reports and present findings to stakeholders. Stay updated on changes in HUD regulations and industry best practices. Qualifications: Bachelors or masters degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. 2 + years of experience in HUD audits or affordable housing audits. Strong knowledge of US GAAP, HUD audit protocols, and LIHTC compliance. Experience with audit software and financial reporting tools. Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
