You'll own the "what" (metrics to track), the "how" (data collection and cleaning), and the "why" (understanding patterns and anomalies). As part of a small, fast-moving team, you'll design impactful reports, solve complex data challenges, and have the freedom to implement your own ideas—including building AI/ML models. THE DAY-TO-DAY Develop and execute the data strategy alongside executives to align with business goals and drive innovation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and executives, to define data needs, prioritize projects, and set clear objectives. Conduct analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities for improving business performance and customer and partner experience. Extract data from primary and secondary sources and removing corrupted data Identify key metrics and KPIs to track and monitor the success of various initiatives, providing regular updates and recommendations for improvement. Build and maintain advanced statistical models and algorithms to generate predictive insights, forecasting business outcomes, and optimizing processes. Continuously explore new data sources, techniques, and tools to enhance the quality and depth of data analysis. Use data to analyze trends to help inform business policies and decisions. Collaborate with engineers and developers to develop and streamline data governance strategies, ensuring data integrity, privacy, and compliance relevant regulations. Implement quality assurance processes to validate data accuracy, consistency, and reliability, troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise. WHAT MAKES YOU QUALIFIED 5-7 years of experience working as a Senior Data Analyst or similar role (preferably with startup experience) with a track record of leading data-driven initiatives. Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field. Strong proficiency in SQL and data querying languages, with experience working with large and complex datasets. Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker Studio) and statistical tools (e.g., R, Python). Experience with data governance, data quality management, and regulatory compliance. Actuarial knowledge or experience is a plus. All around team player, fast, and self-learning individual. Proactive and solution-forward, bias for action. The candidate will be required to carry out tests to ensure the software we're building addresses the business requirements and provides user friendly experience to our customers. The primary role is heavy on writing automated tests, maintaining them and triaging failures. This role will also include manual testing work for newer initiatives. THE DAY-TO-DAY Define risk-based test plans and acceptance criteria in partnership with Product/Engineering; translate user stories into clear test cases. Build and maintain automated tests (Cypress/TypeScript preferred) across E2E, integration, and API layers; create reusable utilities/page objects and stabilize flaky tests. Implement and own CI/CD test gates (smoke/regression) with parallelization and clear pass/fail signals; track coverage and test health metrics. Perform targeted manual/exploratory testing for new features, edge cases, and UX flows; drive regression for critical paths. Create and manage test data, mocks/fixtures, and environment configurations to keep tests deterministic and fast. Coordinate with engineers to reproduce, triage, and debug issues using logs/metrics/trace tools; verify fixes and prevent regressions. Own post-deploy smoke testing and release sign-off for web apps and mobile apps; document results and risks. Continuously improve the QA/SDET toolchain and practices (coding standards, coverage goals, flake budgets, reporting dashboards). WHAT MAKES YOU QUALIFIED Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software or related field (advanced degrees a plus). 3+ years in software testing with strong grounding in functional/regression and modern test design techniques (BC, EP, pairwise, etc.). Hands-on experience testing web applications and mobile apps end-to-end, including UX/UAT and bug verification across browsers/devices. 2+ years focused on test automation, including designing scalable frameworks and CI integration. Proficiency with Cypress (preferred) and JavaScript/TypeScript; experience with API testing (Postman/Newman, supertest, REST/GraphQL) and at least one additional tool (Playwright/WebdriverIO/Jest/Mocha). Comfortable with CI/CD (GitHub Actions/CircleCI/GitLab), Git, and basic Docker; familiarity with env management and secrets. Strong analytical skills; fluency with SDLC/Agile and tooling (Atlassian suite or similar).
