Job Summary: As an RMO, you will be dedicated to delivering high-quality clinical care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring the well-being of our patients. Hospital emergency & admission procedure To provide urgent medical attention and urgent treatment to staff or visitors in case of accident and sudden illness in liaison with the nurse on duty. To undertake emergency procedure at required (including resuscitation), taking the lead as necessary. Complete a brief admission examination on each patient when appropriate and document clinical findings. At the time of admission RMO should follow the consultant order. If consultant order is not available then RMO should inform GC of patient to consultant. Then take the order from consultant. RMO should take detail case taking and then should inform case on call consultant immediately and ask line of treatment. If on call consultant is not available then start with administering the IV line, injection and pain killer management. Don’t give any antibiotic or other drug without asking any consultant. Self round with patients as required or at the request of the nursing staff. To undertake a morning, evening, night ward round daily if possible with a member of the nursing staff. To receive a hand-over report on patients from the alternative RMO when commencing duty and should be written on overbook. Discharge procedure During the consultant round, RMO need to ask if any discharge of patient. Surgery Under no circumstances RMO’s should seek consent for operations or procedures on behalf of a Consultant. RMOs must seek consent for any procedures that they intend to undertake. If insurance patient is undergoing for surgery, should take OT approval from insurance department. Inspect the function test of devices, and report any discrepancies or fault immediately to the Manager and damaged instrument must be sent for repair. Inspection, Assemble and pack instrument and other equipment for sterilization. Prepare and sterilize some special requirements, i.e. recognizing and dealing with urgent items that may berequired from time to time. Record relevant data in appropriate logbooks with full clear signature of technician. Operation of mechanical processing equipment including washer disinfector, autoclaves, and ultrasonic cleaner. Storage and handling of raw material components. Compliance with Health and Safety procedures by using personal protective equipment (PPE) always. Ensure that universal precaution are adhered to and compliance with infection control policy. A high standard of hygiene must be maintained due to the special nature of the job. Demonstrate flexibility by working to the changing demand within the Department. Performing both daily and weekly test on washer and sterilizer according to HTM and EN standards. Training & Development Organize CME, CNE (Continuing Nursing Education) programs for nursing staff. Educate staff on NABH policies, SOPs, and new clinical guidelines .
