Location: Ambala / Remote (Hybrid Option) Client: UK-Based Financial Services Firm Experience Required: 5 + years Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer / Data Analyst to join our dynamic data team supporting a leading UK-based Financial Services client. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across modern data engineering and analytics tools, with strong expertise in designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines and analytical solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, and analysts to deliver high-quality, reliable, and insightful data solutions that drive critical business decisions in the financial trading and brokerage domain. Key Responsibilities · Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines and data workflows using Matillion, DBT, and FiveTran . · Build, optimise, and manage data models and warehouses in Snowflake . · Write and maintain robust Python scripts for data transformation and automation tasks. · Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI , Tableau , or Sigma to provide actionable insights. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. · Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across all systems. · Work with stakeholders from Exchange Trading, Brokerage, and Risk Management teams to support analytics and reporting needs. · Troubleshoot performance issues and optimise data processing efficiency. · Stay updated with emerging data engineering tools and best practices. Required Skills & Experience · 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Analytics roles. · Strong proficiency with Snowflake , DBT , Matillion , FiveTran , and Python . · Hands-on experience with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, or Sigma). · Excellent understanding of ETL concepts , data modelling , and data warehousing . · Prior experience in Financial Services , particularly in Exchange Trading or Brokerage environments. · Strong SQL skills for querying, analysis, and optimisation. · Ability to work independently as a self-starter and manage multiple priorities. · Excellent communication and presentation skills with a pleasant personality and team-oriented mindset . · Quick learner with an analytical and problem-solving approach.
