AIS Middle Office - Assistant Vice President

As a candidate for the role at State Street AIS providing fund accounting, administration, tax, compliance, and middle office trade support services to hedge fund managers, you will have the opportunity to grow your acumen for complex financial products and the security settlement lifecycle while supporting large alternative investment managers trading across diverse strategies. **Role Overview:** You will be responsible for overseeing the development of Middle office applications and products, maintaining flow between Operations working groups, production support, and system development groups. You will be sourcing solutions for new product types and working closely with broader operations management teams to develop process efficiencies. Additionally, organizing Operational focus groups and meetings, reviewing end-of-day valuations and management reports, and interacting with clients to evaluate services will be part of your responsibilities. You will identify and use best practices for project management, demonstrate strong verbal, analytical, and written communication skills, and take accountability of end-to-end outcomes as an enterprise by collaborating across functions/business and locations. **Key Responsibilities:** - Oversee development of Middle office applications and products - Maintain flow between Operations working groups, production support, and system development groups - Source Solutions for new product types - Work closely with broader operations management teams to develop process efficiencies - Organize Operational focus groups and meetings and appoint lead - Review end of day valuations for all products - Review end of day management reports and resolve issues - Sign off on end of day process and checklists - Interact with clients to evaluate services - Identify and use best practices for project management - Clearly communicate both verbally and in written format - Demonstrate an understanding of the impact of problems across the organization and facilitate a collaborative solution - Have commercial acumen - Understanding of cost/budgets (Officer level), Lead/drive the same - Take accountability of end-to-end outcomes as an enterprise, collaborating across functions/business and locations **Qualifications Required:** - In-depth knowledge of some/all of the following products: Equity, Futures, Options, Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives (IRS, CDS, TRS, etc) - Experience interfacing with security valuation agents like Markit PV, BVAL, ICE Data, JPM Pricing Direct - Knowledge of trade order flow, security life-cycle events (settlements, corporate actions), SWIFT messaging, and cash wire processing required - Strong verbal, analytical, and written communication skills - Experience with Advent Geneva Platform advantageous No additional details of the company were mentioned in the job description.,
