Aircraft Engineer

As a Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor at Cathay, you will be responsible for leading and supervising a team of Aircraft Technicians / Aircraft Mechanics to ensure the delivery of a safe and exceptionally reliable travel experience that upholds our brand and business standards. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest levels of safety, compliance, and service delivery by overseeing and managing third party suppliers. Your key responsibilities will include: - Supervising and certifying routine and non-routine maintenance for Cathay Group aircraft and third party customer aircraft in accordance with regulatory requirements - Performing operational relief duties or aircraft maintenance tasks as needed - Monitoring third party supplier performance and addressing operational issues promptly - Managing station ground equipment, vehicles, and facilities - Coordinating with quality assurance and civil aviation authorities for audits and compliance - Ensuring team compliance with health and safety standards - Optimizing manpower utilization and operational efficiency through roster management and process improvements - Leading, motivating, and developing your team to achieve success and fostering a positive work environment - Providing necessary training and development opportunities for employees - Engaging with employees to enhance communication and align with department goals - Fulfilling emergency, accident, and crisis response responsibilities as required The ideal candidate will have: - EASA/HKCAD B1.1 License with type rating on specified aircraft types - Minimum of 2 current aircraft type authorizations, preferably on Cathay-operated aircraft - Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance - Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance and ground handling activities - Familiarity with airworthiness regulations and good business awareness - Effective communication skills and a valid Indian 4-wheeler driving license - Legal right to live and work in India Cathay offers competitive compensation and benefits, including travel privileges, well-being programs, paid leave, and uniform allowance.
