The Master Technician is responsible for performing advanced field maintenance, repair, and recovery operations on tanks and armored vehicles. Operating from a mobile Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) vehicle, the technician provides on-site support in operational environments to ensure mission readiness and minimal downtime of combat assets. Key Responsibilities: Perform diagnostics and repairs on tanks and armored fighting vehicles (AFVs) under field conditions. Operate and manage mobile MRO/ARV platforms (e.g., M88 Hercules, Bergepanzer). Conduct recovery operations for disabled, damaged, or immobilized vehicles. Replace or repair engines, transmissions, tracks, suspension, hydraulics, and fire control systems. Utilize field diagnostic tools, welding/cutting equipment, and heavy recovery gear. Maintain accurate repair logs and maintenance reports in accordance with military standards. Supervise and train junior technicians and mechanics. Coordinate with logistics and supply units to obtain required parts and tools. Ensure all repairs are conducted safely and in compliance with operational SOPs. The Master Technician Electrician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical and electronic systems in armored and tactical vehicles. The role supports both in-garrison and on-field MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) operations, ensuring full electrical functionality and combat readiness of military vehicles. Key Responsibilities: Perform advanced electrical diagnostics and repairs on armored vehicles Troubleshoot faults in wiring, lighting, power generation, batteries, alternators, and control systems. Install, repair, and maintain vehicle-mounted communication systems, sensors, and electronic warfare equipment. Read and interpret vehicle electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Conduct preventive maintenance and electrical safety checks as per service schedules. Support on-field repairs using mobile MRO or recovery vehicles. Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and vehicle interface modules (VIMs). Ensure compliance with military technical standards and safety protocols. Train and mentor junior electricians and technicians. Maintain repair logs, test reports, and inventory of electrical components. Required Qualifications: Formal training/certification in automotive electrical systems 5+ years of experience in electrical maintenance of military or heavy-duty vehicles. Proficiency in modern electrical and electronic systems, including CAN bus and LIN networks. Experience with military-grade electronics and battlefield systems preferred.
