Description
As a Software Development Engineer III at Hiver, you will play a critical role in building and scaling our product to thousands of users globally. We are growing very fast and process over 5 million emails daily for thousands of active users on the Hiver platform. You will also get opportunities to work on AI-powered features, integrating intelligent workflows, and building backend systems that can support large-scale AI/ML applications. You will get a chance to work with and mentor a group of smart engineers as well as learn and grow yourself working with very good mentors. You'll get the opportunity to work on complex technical challenges such as making the architecture scalable to handle the growing traffic, building frameworks to monitor and improve the performance of our systems, and improving reliability and performance. **Key Responsibilities:** - Making the architecture scalable to handle growing traffic and AI-driven workloads - Building frameworks to monitor, improve, and optimize AI-backed systems - Improving reliability, latency, and performance of both traditional and AI-enabled services - Build APIs for our users or iterate on existing APIs in monolith and microservices applications - Build event-driven architecture using scalable message brokers like Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc. - Work on AI-related backend components such as model-serving frameworks, inference APIs, and data pipelines that support ML workflows - Build frameworks to monitor and improve the performance of our systems, including AI/ML workloads - Build and upgrade systems to securely store sensitive and large-scale data (structured and unstructured) - Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Hiver's engineering teams - Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack - Collaborate with AI/ML engineers and data scientists to bring new AI-driven features into production - Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes **Qualifications Required:** - Strong experience in scaling backend systems, preferably in AI/ML-driven environments - Worked on microservices and event-driven architecture - Hands-on experience in concurrent systems - Worked on technologies like Kafka in building high-volume data pipelines - Exposure to AI/ML model-serving, vector databases, embeddings, or real-time inference APIs is a big plus - Experience building lean APIs and backend services optimized for both standard and AI workloads - Worked extensively with SQL databases; understanding of NoSQL databases, caches, and vector databases is preferred - Experience deploying applications on the cloud (AWS preferred; GCP/Azure also good), including AI/ML infrastructure - Strong engineering fundamentals; write high-quality, maintainable code - Prior experience collaborating with AI/ML teams to bring features from research to production is desirable Note: The Job Description does not provide additional details about the company.,
