AI ML Tech Lead

As a Technical Lead, AI/ML at Assent, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and delivering AI and machine learning solutions. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with various teams to translate complex business challenges into AI-powered solutions, guiding model architecture decisions, overseeing end-to-end development, and establishing AI/ML engineering standards. Here are the key requirements and responsibilities: - Lead the design and implementation of AI/ML and Generative AI systems across multiple business domains. - Provide technical direction and mentorship to ML engineers, data scientists, and annotation teams. - Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Data, and Engineering teams to define use cases, contracts, and success metrics. - Architect and optimize end-to-end pipelines for data ingestion, model training, and monitoring. - Lead initiatives in Generative AI, including LLM evaluation, prompt engineering, and output quality assessment. - Champion Responsible AI practices and embed fairness, transparency, and explainability into workflows. - Establish and maintain technical standards for python code quality, model development, and CI/CD pipelines. - Partner with MLOps and Data Engineering teams to integrate model observability and monitoring. - Collaborate with data governance and security teams to ensure compliance with policies. Qualifications: - 10+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, applied AI, or data science. - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field. - Proven experience with Agentic and Generative AI applications. - Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in cloud-based MLOps tools. - Working knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search. - Experience with agentic AI protocols and orchestration frameworks. - Familiarity with Responsible AI principles and model observability tools. - Strong collaboration, communication skills, and passion for mentoring.
