As an AI Explorer / Curator, your primary responsibility will be to help discover the practical applications of AI in real work. You should have a strong sense of curiosity and a passion for rapid learning. Your role will involve tracking emerging trends in AI, experimenting with new tools and models, and assisting others in understanding the value that AI can bring to their work. You will be tasked with identifying tools, methods, and models that are worth exploring and then facilitating the understanding of their potential applications within internal teams. While you will not be required to build complete systems, you will need to identify patterns, translate possibilities into practical uses, and guide others on how to implement these innovations. Your responsibilities will include testing new tools, workflows, and models to determine their usefulness for internal teams, creating prototypes to demonstrate how a tool can support various functions such as strategy, design, engineering, or operations, and summarizing the capabilities of new methods and how they can be adapted. You will collaborate closely with tool builders and platform leads to influence future developments and provide recommendations with clear rationale and a focus on real-world applicability. To excel in this role, you must possess a genuine curiosity about the behavior of AI tools beyond their advertised functionalities, the ability to navigate unstructured spaces and communicate insights effectively, a mindset that prioritizes practical utility over hype, a willingness to assist others in deriving value from AI even if they are new to the technology, and proficiency in documenting and presenting findings in a clear manner. You may work with a variety of technologies such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, LangChain, vector search, RAG patterns, multi-agent frameworks, as well as tools like Zapier, Notion, and AI-enhanced work platforms. While some lightweight scripting may be involved, this role is not primarily a development position. This role is crucial in ensuring that the organization explores the full potential of AI tools while maintaining focus.
