Your future duties and responsibilities

Job Summary
The AI Engineer plays a key role in designing, developing, and operationalizing Agentic AI and Generative AI solutions across the software development lifecycle (SDLC). This role is responsible for delivering scalable AI systems, enabling AI-driven development practices, and supporting engineering, data, and business teams through the adoption of modern AI technologies. The successful candidate will help transform Data & AI strategies into repeatable, enterprise-scale solutions while driving innovation through machine learning, large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and cloud-native AI architectures. Key Responsibilities AI Solution Development Design, develop, deploy, and maintain AI/ML and Generative AI solutions using Python. Build and integrate LLM-powered applications using frameworks such as LangChain and model APIs including OpenAI and Anthropic. Develop AI solutions from proof of concept through production deployment. Implement RAG architectures, embeddings, semantic search, caching, prompt engineering, and tool/function-calling capabilities. Create evaluation frameworks and testing methodologies for AI applications. Software Engineering & Integration Develop robust APIs, orchestration layers, and microservices supporting AI workloads. Design logging, monitoring, observability, and performance-tracking mechanisms for AI systems. Implement scalable and maintainable software engineering practices for AI products. Collaborate with development teams to embed AI capabilities within enterprise applications. Data Engineering & Analytics Process, transform, and analyze structured and unstructured data from various enterprise systems. Utilize Python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and Polars for advanced data manipulation. Develop and optimize SQL queries for large-scale relational databases. Extract business value from complex and disconnected datasets. Platform & Ecosystem Enablement Identify recurring business and technical requirements across Data & AI initiatives. Develop reusable frameworks, standards, governance models, and best practices. Contribute to the evolution of enterprise AI capabilities, services, and operating models. Promote AI adoption and knowledge sharing across cross-functional teams. DevOps & Cloud Engineering Work within Agile and DevOps delivery models. Support CI/CD implementation through Azure DevOps and GitHub. Build and maintain cloud-native AI solutions on Microsoft Azure. Collaborate with platform, architecture, and security teams to ensure scalable and compliant deployments.

Required Technical Skills
Programming & Development Strong hands-on experience in Python development. Experience with software engineering best practices and design patterns. Expertise in developing REST APIs and service integrations. AI / Machine Learning Experience with: Generative AI Large Language Models (LLMs) Agentic AI solutions Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) Prompt Engineering Embeddings and Vector Databases Tool Calling / Function Calling AI Evaluation Frameworks AI Platforms & Frameworks Experience with: LangChain OpenAI APIs Anthropic APIs Microsoft Copilot Azure AI Foundry (Microsoft Foundry) Data Technologies Advanced SQL skills. Experience with relational databases and query optimization. Hands-on experience with: NumPy Pandas Polars Cloud & Azure Technologies Azure Databricks Azure Data Factory Azure Data Lake Azure Stream Analytics Azure SQL Data Warehouse Azure Functions Serverless Architectures ARM Templates DevOps Azure DevOps GitHub CI/CD Pipelines Agile Product Delivery Required Experience 3-7 years of experience in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, AI/ML, or related domains. Proven experience delivering AI/ML solutions from concept to production. Experience working in Agile product teams and DevOps environments. Demonstrated ability to solve complex business problems using AI and data-driven solutions. Experience handling and extracting insights from large-scale datasets. Roles & Responsibilities Work within established procedures, standards, and development practices. Develop, test, and support software applications and AI solutions. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues. Collaborate with senior engineers, architects, and business stakeholders. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and innovation programs. Recommend solutions for defect resolution and process enhancements. Escalate complex technical challenges when appropriate. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. Microsoft Azure AI Engineer Associate certification. Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate certification. Exposure to MLOps, LLMOps, and enterprise AI governance frameworks. Experience with vector databases such as Azure AI Search, Pinecone, or Weaviate.
