Worker training and safety: Developing training programs for employees and ensuring the implementation of safety measures and proper workstation design. Core techniques and tools Time study and motion study: Measuring the time it takes to complete tasks and analyzing the motions involved to find more efficient ways to perform work. Line balancing: Distributing work evenly across all stations in a production line to prevent bottlenecks and maximize throughput. Capacity study: Analyzing an operator's or a line's ability to produce work to set realistic targets. Lean manufacturing tools: Applying concepts like 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping to streamline workflows and eliminate non-value-added activities. KPIs: Monitoring and reporting on Key Performance Indicators to track progress and make data-driven decisions.
