Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Accountant based in Mumbai. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for performing day-to-day financial tasks, including managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling ledgers, preparing financial reports, and assisting in budgeting processes. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate financial records, managing invoices, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting audits and tax filings. Additionally, the Junior Accountant will collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations. Qualifications Proficiency in financial management, including accounts payable/receivable and ledger reconciliation Strong skills in financial reporting, budgeting, and analyzing account data Experience with accounting software and tools such as Tally, QuickBooks, or similar platforms Attention to detail, accuracy in financial record-keeping, and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage time effectively Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Knowledge of statutory compliance and tax regulations Previous experience in the non-profit, animal welfare, or sustainability sector is a plus
