Job description: We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven individual to join our team as an Education Counselor cum Sales Executive. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide counseling to students interested in studying India/abroad. This position requires a blend of counseling skills, sales acumen, and a passion for helping students achieve their academic goals. Responsibilities: Counseling: Provide comprehensive counseling to students interested in pursuing higher education , assessing their academic background, career aspirations, and preferences. Sales Generation: Actively promote and sell our consultancy services to prospective students, effectively communicating the benefits of our services and guiding them through the enrollment process. Lead Conversion: Convert student inquiries into enrollments for our consultancy services, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the sales process. Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and educational institutions to enhance our consultancy's reputation and visibility in the market. Follow-Up: Follow up with prospective students to provide updates, answer questions, and address concerns throughout the application and enrollment process, ensuring a seamless experience. Sales Targets: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets set by the management team, actively seeking out new opportunities for business growth. Market Research: Stay updated on trends and developments in the field of education, conducting market research to identify potential growth areas and opportunities for expansion. Data Management: Maintain accurate records of student interactions, applications, and outcomes using designated systems, providing regular reports to the management team. Continuous Learning: Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance counseling skills, sales techniques, and knowledge of study options abroad. Qualifications: Any Graduate (BBA, B.COM, MBA), having a keen interest and deep understanding of the Indian education sector. Previous experience in student counseling, admissions counseling, or sales roles within the education sector preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues. Sales-oriented mindset with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Position Overview- We are seeking an ambitious and motivational Team Leader – Business Development (Education Counselling) to lead and mentor our student counselling and sales team. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership and counselling skills with sales expertise, ensuring the team consistently meets or exceeds admission and revenue targets. As a team leader, you will play a critical role in driving business growth, guiding counsellors to perform at their best, and personally contributing to achieving the company’s goals. Key Roles and Responsibilities- Team Leadership & Performance Management- Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of education counsellors/business development executives to achieve set targets for student enrollments and revenue generation. Allocate leads effectively, monitor daily performance, and ensure consistent productivity and follow-up quality. Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and coaching sessions to identify gaps and improve sales efficiency. Set clear performance goals, track KPIs, and ensure each team member aligns with company objectives. Foster a positive, collaborative, and target-driven team environment. Business Development & Revenue Growth- Develop and execute business strategies to drive student admissions and maximize revenue. Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets are met by both the team and individual contribution. Collaborate with management to identify new markets, outreach channels, and institutional tie-ups. Take ownership of achieving personal and team-based admission targets through proactive lead conversion. Maintain a strong pipeline of student prospects and monitor conversion rates at every stage. Counselling & Client Relationship Management- Provide expert counselling to students regarding courses, universities, admission procedures, and career options in India and abroad. Oversee the counselling process to ensure students receive accurate, ethical, and personalized guidance. Build and sustain long-term relationships with students, parents, and educational partners. Ensure a seamless student experience from inquiry to enrollment, promoting trust and satisfaction. Team Development & Training -Identify training needs within the team and coordinate with management for ongoing skill development programs. Guide team members on effective counselling approaches, communication skills, and sales conversion techniques. Mentor new joiners to adapt quickly to company processes and achieve early success. Reporting & Coordination- Monitor and report daily/weekly/monthly team performance to management with detailed metrics on leads, conversions, and revenue. Maintain and analyze CRM data for accuracy, tracking productivity and sales trends. Coordinate with marketing and operations teams to optimize lead flow and service delivery. Market Research & Strategic Input -Stay informed about changing trends in the education sector, new institutions, and emerging student destinations. Share market insights and contribute ideas to improve sales campaigns, counselling strategies, and service offerings. Qualifications & Skills -Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (BBA, MBA, or related discipline). Strong leadership, motivational, and team management skills. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities. Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales/enrollment targets. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
