Dialysis Technician Job Details Dialysis technicians will be responsible for assembling and maintaining dialysis machines, monitoring patients undergoing dialysis treatment, and ensuring the highest safety and cleanliness standards when operating the machines, among other duties. Dialysis Technician Responsibilities: · Assembling the dialysis machine and ensuring its proper performance. · Testing monitors and machine functions. · Measuring, calculating, and adjusting blood flow and fluid removal rates · Monitoring patients and equipment, responding to alarms, and adjusting treatment · Responding appropriately to dialysis-related emergencies · Disinfecting dialysis supplies and sanitizing equipment. · Ensuring the usage of the dialysis machine is safe and secure. · Administering local anaesthesia. · Talking to patients through the dialysis process. · Monitoring and adjusting patient fluid removal rates as required. · Ensuring the sterilization of operating equipment before use. · Responding to emergency scenarios. · Attending to patient needs. · Understanding patient physical and emotional concerns.
