JOB SUMMARY As an AEM Development Team Lead, you will oversee the design, development, and implementation of solutions using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). This role will lead a team of AEM developers, ensuring the successful execution of projects from start to finish, while fostering a collaborative and productive environment. You will work closely with clients, architects, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-performing, scalable, and user-friendly digital experiences. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Team Management: Lead a team of AEM developers, guiding them through the development process. Mentor junior and mid-level developers, providing technical guidance and career growth opportunities. Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards. Manage team workload, ensuring timely delivery of projects and tasks. AEM Solution Design & Development: Design and implement AEM-based solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements. Lead the development of AEM components, templates, workflows, and integrations with third-party services. Develop and implement AEM customizations to improve overall user experience and functionality. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure seamless integration of front-end designs with AEM. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Work closely with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver the best solutions. Communicate technical issues and solutions to non-technical stakeholders effectively. Collaborate with the QA team to ensure the quality and reliability of delivered solutions. Performance & Optimization: Optimize AEM instances for performance, scalability, and reliability. Ensure continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes are followed for faster and more efficient deployments. Troubleshoot and resolve AEM-related technical issues, including performance bottlenecks. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain clear documentation for code, development processes, and configuration changes. Provide regular status updates on project progress to management and stakeholders. Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in AEM development. Propose and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency and development quality. Experience: 8+ years of experience in AEM development, including hands-on experience with AEM 6.x and/or AEM as a Cloud Service. At least 3 years of experience in a leadership or team lead role. Strong experience in AEM development, including Sling, JCR, and OSGi-based development. Proven experience in managing and mentoring a development team. Experience with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript (React, Angular, etc.), and integrating them with AEM. Experience with Java-based development and I/O integration with Magento or SAP Hybris is a plus. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of cloud-based technologies. Technical Skills: Expertise in AEM components, workflows, and template development. In-depth knowledge of AEMs dispatcher and caching strategies. Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, web services, and integration with external systems. Experience with AEM development tools such as CRX/CRX2, AEM Author/Publish environments, and Sling Models. Understanding of performance optimization, security, and best practices for AEM environments. Good to have: Certifications : Adobe Certified Expert - AEM (or similar). Experience with other Adobe products (Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, etc.). Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
