Job Title: Research specialist and technical report writer for an Engineering Firm Location: Remote Employment Type: Full-time Position Overview Seeking a research specialist and technical report writer to support our team of Civil and Environmental Engineers conducting commercial property assessments. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in any one of the following disciplines: environmental science, civil engineering, construction industry, building science or geology. In this role, you will primarily assist in preparing technical reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, ability to work independently, strong writing and communication skills, and comfort with meeting tight project deadlines. Primary Responsibilities Prepare organized and accurate written reports within a tight deadline. Training will be provided. Conduct online and database research and ability to synthesize information in provided templates. Describe photo documentation of property conditions and structural elements. Perform other project-related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in environmental science, civil engineering, construction industry, building science or geology. At least 3 years of experience with 1 year of technical writing experience preferred. A background check will be conducted prior to employment. Ability to write clear, concise field reports and communicate findings effectively. Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently. Strong work ethic, reliability, and adaptability to shifting project needs. Proficient in using digital cameras and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
