Advisor - Privacy & Data Protection

As a Privacy Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing the development enhancements of internal processes and systems to recommend privacy-related controls. You will lead the data breach handling process to effectively address any privacy-related gaps reported in the current systems. Additionally, you will manage the process related to personal data access requests from individuals. Furthermore, you will be tasked with assessing subcontracting or outsourcing of any processing of personally identifiable information and recommending privacy-related controls, including incorporating appropriate clauses in vendor contracts. You will also collaborate with external Privacy and Data Protection Counsel to seek expert views and conduct audits. Identifying and implementing internal initiatives on Data Privacy will be a key part of your role. In terms of technical requirements, you will review and respond to privacy-related sections in RFI, RFQ, and MSA documents from clients. You will work on the feasibility study of privacy-related requirements clauses during the pre-contract sign-off stage. Advising delivery teams on the implementation of privacy-related requirements and conducting employee awareness on the lawful handling of personally identifiable information will also be part of your responsibilities. Moreover, you will assess subcontracting or outsourcing of any processing of personally identifiable information, recommend privacy-related controls, and ensure appropriate clauses are included in vendor contracts. Your additional responsibilities will include overseeing Data Privacy, Data governance processes, information security, and compliance with Data Privacy laws and standards. Your experience in Data Privacy matters, both as a Data controller and Data Processor, will be valuable in this role. Preferred skills for this position include expertise in Data Privacy, specifically in areas such as General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT), DSCI Certified Privacy Lead Assessor, Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), and Data Privacy Compliance Lead Assessor (DCPLA).,
