AVCF will be responsible for setting up and managing the first-of-its-kind veterinary hospital with the aim of providing approachable expertise in the field of veterinary care for small and companion animals. The proposed hospital will be situated at G.B. Sakpal Marg, Mahalaxmi, Mumbai, on land owned by MCGM. The hospital will have comprehensive treatment facilities including 24x7 emergency services, in-patient facilities, and diagnostics capability. As a front-runner in the field of veterinary care, AVCF aims to be a recruiter of choice among professional veterinarians. Job Summary The Manager – Hospital Operations for AVCF is an integral member of the founding team who will work within the leadership team ensuring the successful setup, delivery, and execution of the veterinary hospital project. They must be able to formulate, implement, and assist with the execution of significant strategic, operational, and cultural agendas required for setting up the operations of AVCF—from ideation to execution—managing important relationships and stakeholders for the benefit of the organization. This role involves simplifying tasks and anticipating work to effectively manage the project to fruition. The role will then require steady, capable management of the hospital as it progresses from opening to becoming a mature, fully functional institution. Job Specifications Staff Management : Train, supervise, and evaluate administrative and support staff. Develop and enforce staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient utilization of resources. Administrative Oversight : Implement and maintain administrative procedures and protocols to streamline operations. Manage client scheduling, appointment bookings, and patient records. Procurement : Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and monitoring supplies and medications across departments. Financial Management : Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to optimize revenue and reduce costs. Prepare and manage budgets, financial reports, and projections. Evaluate and review pricing of services and products, including comparative analysis. Client Relations : Periodically review client satisfaction and serve as an escalation point for client concerns. Compliance and Quality Assurance : Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including licensing, accreditation, and safety regulations. Implement quality assurance measures to maintain high standards of patient care and safety. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Collaboration and Communication : Liaise with veterinary staff, including veterinarians, technicians, and support personnel, to coordinate patient care and services. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners including vendors, suppliers, government bodies, and referral clinics. Participate in meetings, committees, and strategic planning initiatives to support the hospital’s goals and objectives. Daily Operations : Oversee the daily operations of the project and the hospital. Skills and Competencies Experience in leading large hospital operations or a similar role within a veterinary setting. Experience in the medical sector (veterinary or human), preferably in a hospital environment. Startup mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced, uncertain environment; comfortable taking appropriate "leaps of faith" when necessary. Clear understanding of legislative and governmental challenges—a capable operator within the Mumbai ecosystem. Strong understanding of core business functions (HR, Finance, Marketing, etc.) Strong organizational and leadership capabilities. Strong decision-making ability. Postgraduate degree in hospital and/or healthcare management is an added advantage. Fluency in English, Hindi, and Marathi.

Lab Technician Mumbai 2 - 4 years INR 0.5 - 3.0 Lacs P.A. Work from Office Full Time

Key Responsibilities: Collect and process biological samples (blood, urine, feces, tissue) from a variety of animals. Perform diagnostic tests including blood counts, urinalysis, fecal exams, cytology, and biochemistry panels. Operate and maintain lab equipment such as centrifuges, microscopes, hematology analyzers, and incubators. Accurately record and report test results to veterinarians in a timely manner. Assist with necropsies and preparation of specimens for external laboratories when needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory and follow all safety and biosecurity protocols. Manage inventory of lab supplies and place orders when necessary. Ensure proper sample labeling, storage, and disposal procedures. Collaborate with veterinary staff and support ongoing patient care. Qualifications: Degree or diploma in Animal Science , Biology , or related field. Previous experience in a veterinary or clinical lab setting is preferred. Familiarity with veterinary diagnostic tools and procedures. Proficient in sample collection techniques, especially for small and large animals. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reporting. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask efficiently. Compassionate, team-oriented, and comfortable around animals of all temperaments.
