About The Role
We're seeking a fresher (0-1 year experience) to join our Infotainment testing team. You'll learn and contribute to System Update and Management Services (SUMS) testing, automate test cases using Python, and ensure quality for in-vehicle entertainment systems.
What You Will Do
- SUMS Testing:
- Validate OTA updates, version management, and rollback mechanisms.
- Test infotainment features (media, navigation, connectivity, voice commands).
- Collaborate with developers to identify and resolve bugs.
- Python Automation:
- Write test scripts (pytest, unittest) for UI, API, and backend workflows.
- Automate CAN, Ethernet, or serial communication testing.
- Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Documentation:
- Maintain test cases, reports, and traceability matrices.
- Learning:
- Explore automotive protocols (CAN, UDS, LIN) and infotainment stacks.
What You Need
- 0-1 year of experience (internships or academic projects count!).
- Python basics: loops, functions, libraries (requests, pandas, etc.).
- Testing fundamentals: manual testing, bug reporting, SDLC.
- Familiarity with tools:
- Version control: Git.
- CI/CD: Beginner-level exposure to Jenkins/GitLab CI.
- Communication protocols: CAN, UDS (learning curve accepted).
- Analytical thinking, attention to detail, teamwork.
- Graduate (B.E./B.Tech/MCA) in CS, IT, ECE, or related field.
Bonus Points :
- Python frameworks: pytest, Selenium, or Appium.
- Automotive domain (Infotainment, SUMS, OTA).
- Linux/bash scripting.
- Certifications: ISTQB, Python automation.
